It was SO busy! Last year, Everland was the world's 13th most-visited theme park; and it's easy to see why! We decided to wait until the afternoon to go there, in the faint hope that the park might start to empty out in the evening when kids need to go to bed (it's open until 10pm). But our plan failed, the last bus was at 9pm, and we had to start making our way towards it at 8.

Although we only managed to fit in four rides, it was a really great day. The park is done up like a small, budget Disney World, and took me back to my childhood holidays to Florida. There was a 'Tulip Festival' taking place when we visited, so everywhere was covered in colourful flowers and for the first time this year it felt like Spring had well and truly arrived.
First, we went on the river rapids (queue time: 45 minutes). In true Korean style, there was a plastic cover that went up to our necks inside the "boat", so we didn't get wet, and then at the end of the ride there were heaters to dry your clothes on!

Next, we went on the rotating house ride (queue time: almost 1 hour). Simply lame. Not worth the wait.
Then, we intended to go on the log flume but when we got to the ride the queue time said two hours, and the people lining up were all sat on the ground with cobwebs hanging off them, as if they hadn't moved for hours.
Disheartened, we went on the fun house (because there wasn't a queue). "Fun" is not an appropriate adjective, but we made the most of it anyway.

Finally, we went to the T Express, Everland's most famous rollercoaster. It's the steepest wooden rollercoaster in the world. Queue time: two hours!!! Some adrenaline addicted person in my life (aka Ric) insisted that it would have been a wasted journey if we didn't ride the main attraction, and so, ignoring my fear, I joined the queue and joking boasted about the rollercoasters I rode in my youth. I failed to mention how terribly motion sick I'd been after every one of those rides, not wanting to lose face in front of my boyfriend and my friend. Needless to say, it was the worst 45 seconds of my life, I spilled my guts, and had to be practically carried out of the theme park. NEVER AGAIN!!!

How to get to...
Everland! As we live in Cheonan, we took a train to Suwon and caught the direct bus, which is located to the left as you exit the train station. It cost 8,000w for a return ticket. Entrance to the park is 40,000w but we printed a coupon off the website that got us 7,000w off.
