3rd July
Shopping! Me and Ric went to the Sunday markets at Tarabuco, a village 65km out of Sucre. We got the bus at 8.30 and sang along to pop punk on Ric's ipod whilst everyone else on the bus tried to sleep.
The market covered the entire village and had alsorts of random stuff. Between us we bought a fair bit of tat such as: home made cigarettes, 96% alcohol, sandals made out of car tyres, handbags with llamas on, gloves, candy floss and a head band.
We tried on some silly hats, played table football (I lost), had coffee in a posh restaurant that had a sad looking parrot in the courtyard, and went for a mooch around the local hospital to get information about rabies vaccinations for ric.
The village itsself isn't anything special, and the market has become some what of a gringo destination, but regardless it was a pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning.
